CPAP HEPA filter adapter

CPAP HEPA filter adapter

The filter on my CPAP just isn't doing the trick, so I decided to swap it out for a HEPA filter, but first I needed an adapter. Since I have allergies and want to breathe easy, this was a no-brainer. To make sure it seals tight and works better, I could've glued it in place, but since I travel with my CPAP, that wasn't an option. Instead, I opted for three sturdy hooks that are securely attached. On the longer legs, I used one of my go-to materials - a bent paper clip - to create a hook-in system. String or rubber band would work just as well, and on the other side, a rubber band puts some serious tension on the legs to ensure a tight seal. I'm all about building without support, so the adapter is made up of two parts that are glued together, including an extra tube to hold the hose. The attachment hooks have unsupported overhang, but my printer was able to handle it with ease. I've got some leftover short pieces of hose from old masks that I use to attach it to the box with the HEPA filter. That way, everything stays secure and in place. I also wanted to change up the angle of the input, so I created an elbow (4125993) which you can check out here - https://www.thingiverse.com/search?q=4125993&dwh=425e2bd61eaba4a. I tried editing it to get a better image, but hopefully, I didn't mess it up!
