Whole system CPAP cleaners range from $300 to $600, but smaller units that attach directly to tubing are significantly more affordable and utilize the same method to eliminate bacteria - ozone, or activated oxygen, for disinfection. I created a container designed to house the mask and an ozone generator on top, allowing ozone to permeate throughout the entire CPAP system, eliminating bacteria. For optimal results, empty the water reservoir from your humidifier first. Smaller units can be found for as little as $40 or even free, as in my case when I received one with a new mask purchase. To secure the cylinder top over the hole, apply a strong adhesive, ensuring a tight seal and confirming compatibility with your ozone generator before gluing.
