The standard mounting system that accompanies the Coyote OYO driving assistant restricts its placement to the dashboard only. This makes leaving the device on the dashboard in public areas an open invitation to unpleasant experiences. I designed a holder that enables users to discreetly position the Oyo under the central console, while maintaining clear visibility for the driver. Two 30x10x3mm magnets are integrated into the base device and the holder, providing a strong grip that allows for quick removal of both components by simply pulling on them. This magnetic retention also offers an added layer of security in case the Oyo is accidentally pushed aside by a passenger while driving. The base can be securely attached to the central console using a pad of adhesive foam. The vertical portion of the holder features a series of slots that enable flexion, making it easier to insert the Oyo. This thoughtful design allows for a seamless integration with the device.
