Cowboy Doll Prosthetics
thingiverse
We worked with a young boy several years ago who had to undergo a drastic procedure where his hands and feet were amputated. We took a Sheriff Woody doll and modified it to match the boy's condition by adding prosthetic limbs that mirrored the boy's own prosthetics. This unique intervention helped the boy get accustomed to using his prosthetics and gave him a loyal companion who understood exactly what he was going through. We created a prototype of the modified doll for our own use, but over time, the handmade components were misplaced - likely due to one too many enthusiastic presentations. This design offers a replacement set of prosthetic limbs for the Sheriff Woody doll, ensuring that anyone who receives this modified toy can enjoy it without worrying about losing its unique features. For the standard Sheriff Woody doll available at major retailers like Amazon and Disney, these custom-made prosthetics were printed at 80% scale to ensure a precise fit. To assemble the hinge hardware, we used #6 bolts, washers, and nuts for added stability and security.
