Covid19 face shield without pikes for holes
thingiverse
There are numerous versions of face shield headbands available, but they all require punching or laser cutting holes into the protective sheet. This process seems overly complicated to me. My alternative version of the headband does away with pikes for holes, making it truly minimalist while still being very functional. You can use an A4- or Letter-sized sheet as is or cut off the sharp tip of the corners. If you insert the sheet horizontally, it will cover the sides of your face better. **Update 2020-04-14**: V5: The V4 version has been removed due to its outer stripe slipping over in some cases, so I raised the height to 15mm. The slot for the sheet is significantly wider, allowing you to insert it horizontally and cover the sides of your face. **Update 2020-04-12**: V4: This version features a 10mm high design with hooks for a buttonhole band. **Update 2020-04-06**: A top cover piece has been added. **Update 2020-04-03**: In this version, a wider sheet is possible to insert. **Update 2020-04-02**: A new and improved version (V2) has been uploaded. Please use it instead of the old one. **Print settings:** * Layer height: 0.3mm * Top and bottom layers: 4 each * Perimeters: 4 * Infill percentage: 0% **Warning!** Bands separated from a stack will have rough surfaces that are not suitable for disinfection. Do not print stacked versions for medical purposes.
