A simple ergonomic design that can be mass produced and delivered quickly to medical staff in need. Designed in Mexico City to be donated to public hospitals as quickly as possible. The idea of the design is to make a low cost, comfortable ergonomic shield to quickly address the need of personal protective devices required by medical staff. The shield is manufactured out of a single material and can be massively produced through die cutting or laser cutting technologies. Design features: The shield can be made out of 10 point PVC for die cutting or 20 point PETG /PETR for laser cutting. The faceshield is all clear pvc without folds, which facilitates cleaning and disinfecting. The headband is designed to be adjusted by rubber bands which are easy to replace There is ample space between the shield and forehead allowing for the use of glasses, goggles and a face mask without fogging or discomfort. The shield covers the ears and side, providing more protection than traditional shields. The design allows users to turn their heads sideways and downwards without the shield touching the body. The design has a redundancy for attaching the rubber bands in case an anchor point breaks. Manufacturing capacity Die cutting can produce anywhere between 300 and 5,000 per day, depending on the provider Laser technology can produce anywhere between 400-800 per day.
