Covid Virus Spit Shield - print in place hinge

cults3d

So this is my first print-in-place hinge and it comes with some practical use. I wanted to support my girlfriend with her work during pandemic and made this a while ago for additional safety. The hinge gets printed twice. Once normal and once mirrored. Both of them get placed opposite onto a frame. I mounted them to a metal frame. It is a square tube with inside 20 x 20 mm square. It actually once was a living room table and in my garage for quite a while... but hey it works and looks fine. The actual shield and also connector of the two hinges is a 2 mm thick acrylic glass. You can choose any other shield but keep in mind, that it correlates with your frame. You can put the whole shield to the side as you don't need it and it takes less space due to the hinge. The way it is, it's enough for us, but by a bigger offset between the hinged rod and it's hollow sorrounding you can make it to 90 degrees movement. The original I printed didn't have the crossing drilling hole, I made them manually. The Version now gives you the option of a crossing bolt to fasten the glass. Otherwise you can glue it nicely like I did. I originally created it in Fusion but meanwhile I rather used onshape, but if you need any more data or files you're welcome to contact me, I will share it. Anyways that's why there's a mixable f3d-file without the additional hole and enlarged rod. So I hope that works for you. :-)
