Covid safe Door Hook w. Sheath

Covid safe Door Hook w. Sheath

thingiverse

When someone in my block of flats caught the coronavirus, I realized that it could easily spread to everyone else using the same lift buttons and front door handles. This tool can be used to press buttons and pull doors open without touching them, reducing the chance of spreading the infection through surfaces. The sheath covers the 'infected' end of the tool, holding alcohol gel to help disinfect. Please be aware that 3D printed plastic has many pores and cracks which can harbour germs. This may make this tool difficult to properly clean once used. This is a remix of the excellent design by @IgorAndrade found here: https://www.myminifactory.com/object/3d-print-114522 I added a small notch to prevent the sheath from slipping off easily and removed the text on the side. UPDATE: Also included a 'shell only' version of the sheath. Print with spiralvase settings (1 perimeter, 0 bottom layers, 0% infill) for much faster printing and lower material usage. 0.3mm layer heights work well for this version.
