Covid Mask Respirator - 3D Printable COVID-19 (Corona virus)

Human: NOTE: You should only use a flexible filament for printing these masks. Depending on the type, PLA or other rigid materials could prove too brittle and cause injury if worn on your face. Check out this video made by icfirz where he demonstrates the dangers of this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ErP28uP4mVI&feature=youtu.be I do not recommend wearing any mask while driving for multiple reasons, including carbon dioxide build-up and airbags. Check out this story where a person wearing an N95 mask passed out from carbon dioxide build-up. I don't know what mask they were wearing or what all contributed to it, but good to be aware of: https://dailyvoice.com/new-jersey/morris/police-fire/nj-driver-wearing-n95-mask-passes-out-crashes-due-to-lack-of-oxygen-police-say/787079/ If you like my work and would like to help support us, you can use the "Tip Designer" link or PayPal me directly at: https://www.paypal.me/MrDWGraf UPDATE 4/2/2020: I've uploaded a low poly option of the mask that only uses 31g of filament and is a two-piece design. Different sizes available at https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:4256244/files UPDATE 3/30/2020: I have republished the cap (Filter Cover 2.0.stl) as the first one was too tight. Thanks to each one who has provided feedback on this project! Also, I've had good success printing this at 0% infill, and the piece still feels very solid. The goal of this mask is to make a respirator that's stupid simple to print/operate (no supports, rims or rafts needed) and uses a readily available/incredibly cheap filter mechanism requiring no cutting of material. In this case, makeup pads are used as filters. The mask, filter plate, and screw-on cover should take about 79g of filament at 20% infill. I wanted to be able to use cotton makeup pads as a filter instead of cutting out something square, but the Copper3d was too small to fit a pad in, and the screw was too small to get a good grip on. You can use any filtration device you like in there, but the pads fit great. No guarantees that this will keep you from getting Covid, but anything should be better than nothing. Note: I am not a doctor and cannot give any assurance that this will work. Use it at your own risk. https://www.billingsclinic.com/foundation/3d-printed-surgical-mask/ The goal of this mask is to make a respirator that's stupid simple to print/operate (no supports, rims or rafts needed) and uses a readily available/incredibly cheap filter mechanism requiring no cutting of material.
