The goal of this mask is to make a respirator that's stupid simple to print/operate (no supports, rims or rafts needed) and uses a readily available/incredibly cheap filter mechanism requiring no cutting of material. In this case, makeup pads are used as filters. The mask, filter plate, and screw-on cover should take about 79g of filament at 20% infill. I wanted to be able to use cotton makeup pads as a filter instead of cutting out something square, but the Copper3d was too small to fit a pad in, and the screw was too small to get a good grip on. You can use any filtration device you like in there, but the pads fit great. No guarantees that this will keep you from getting Covid, but anything should be better than nothing.
