Here's my take on the heavy-duty surgical mask band 'ear saver' device. I've modified it by cutting out the center and adding fillets to the hooks, making them significantly stronger in the process. With printing in mind, design changes were implemented to minimize hard corners, resulting in a substantial decrease of around 8 minutes in print time compared to the original popular mask band. To achieve an optimal fit, I recommend printing this device at 90% size for a more flexible band. So far, we've successfully printed over 200 units for donation to local nurses.
