INFORMATION This 3D printable part enables the combination of a full-face snorkel mask (*Decathlon Subsea Easybreath*) with a *HME bacteria and virus filter*, commonly used in anaesthetic equipment and ventilators. See the manual (PDF file) for printer settings and assembly instructions. VERSIONS The following current versions are available: * V3.2 - This version includes an added lip to facilitate correct assembly. Please see the manual and [assembly instruction video](https://www.vimeo.com/401433351) for correct assembly. * V3.0 - Old design. Note that this version can be assembled incorrectly. Please see the manual and [assembly instruction video](https://www.vimeo.com/401395980) for correct assembly. Both parts are designed specifically for the *Decathlon Subsea Easybreath* (version of 2019) only. NOTE: Decathlon has recently released a new mask: *Easybreath 500*. Current designs DO NOT FIT on this mask. We are currently designing and testing connectors for this newer mask. Stay tuned for updates on this page. DISCLAIMER **Please read the [disclaimer](https://www.covidlifesavermask.com/disclaimer) before use. These designs are intended for use by medical staff WITHOUT ACCESS TO SUFFICIENT PERSONAL PROTECTION EQUIPMENT (PPE).** The team behind the COVID LIFESAVER MASK aimed to create a design that is simple, quick and safe. However it is still in testing fase and NOT a certified medical device. We cannot make a claim of antimicrobial or antiviral protection e.g. infection prevention or reduction until validation has been completed. We decided to share our ideas and design ahead of necessary certification for medical staff without access to certified personal protective equipment (PPE). Since we have not been able to quantify inward leakage of the combination of individual parts, we cannot make any safety claims. **If you have certified PPE available we strongly recommend you to use your certified PPE**. A solution to overcome the risk of inward leakage could be the [air wave initiative](www.air-wave.org). Updates on test results will be published on the website [covidlifesavermask.com](https://www.covidlifesavermask.com/). The design team took every precaution to ensure a tight fit between the scuba mask and the HME filter. The current design has been 3D-printed (mostly on Ultimaker printers) and tested successfully multiple times. Since 3D printers can have small deviations in print accuracy, the fit may be imperfect in individual cases. Therefore, every printed part should be checked for individual fit before use. If the printed part has a loose fit or any other defect, it should not be used. MORE INFORMATION For more information, please visit [covidlifesavermask.com](https://www.covidlifesavermask.com/).
