Covid Claw (Door opener, etc)
thingiverse
This no-touch door opener design fits snugly around your pointer and middle fingers, enabling you to grasp door handles, push buttons, and levers without ever making contact. I've been using WOLLBREZEL's brilliant PEWT design for a couple of weeks now, and it's truly fantastic - compact, functional, and incredibly useful. Since first trying it out, I've been sharing it with my colleagues at the office, where it quickly became a sought-after tool. The PEWT design has sparked some valuable ideas in me, and with time to spare, I decided to learn OnShape. This led me to create this new design, which aims to improve upon the PEWT's button-pushing capabilities and provide a larger surface area on the front for pushing heavier objects like security doors. Additionally, I've added more support across the palm to enhance grip and possibly even offer some self-defense benefits. I made several updates on 5/13/20, including increasing the keyring hole size, enhancing thumb support along the back, and adding fillets around the finger holes. A lighter version was also introduced, featuring a design without the partial finger-surround by the keyring hole.
