Wearing an N95 or surgical mask all day can be excruciatingly uncomfortable for the ears. This ingenious adjustable face mask strap extender has been designed to enhance comfort during long-term use of a face mask. It's suitable for everyone, including children, as it can be adjusted to fit smaller heads. These can be easily printed on an FDM or resin printer. FDM The preferred material is PETG or PLA; TPU may also work, but hasn't been tried yet. Print slowly. It takes about 15 minutes to print two pairs. Use four top and bottom layers. Resin Print these with a flexible, non-brittle material; cheap fast gray resin won't work well. Siraya Tech Tenacious and Blue worked well for this purpose. The print time on an Elegoo Mars is 15 minutes for two sets if printed flat on the build plate - this is the best way to print when only making a few. Hair ties are available at Walmart for $0.80 each, or 28 cents each for a pack of 28. The V2 version is designed for vertical orientation on a resin printer and can print 30 pairs at a time.
