This is our variant of the 3D printed foldable face mask designed for ease of printing on FDM/SLA 3D printers. The build consists of two parts - the mask and the filter that screws in, making it a simpler process to print. Conventional 3D printer masks using filament require heat molding to achieve a better fit on the user's face. All masks, regardless of material used, must be bent along the drawn lines and glued into place. This design is compatible with FFP1/FFP2(N95)/FFP3 filters, featuring 44 mm circles stamped from masks rated up to N95/FFP2 standards. It also supports HEPA filters rated up to the N95/FFP2 standard, commonly used in air conditioning units and similar applications. To clarify FFR performance standards and designations, please refer to the following specifications: • N95 (United States NIOSH-42CFR84) • FFP2 (Europe EN 149-2001) • KN95 (China GB2626-2006) These standards were taken from a 3M document published in January of 2020. According to this document, filtering facepiece respirators (FFR) are subject to various regulatory standards worldwide, specifying required physical properties and performance characteristics for compliance. During pandemic or emergency situations, health authorities often reference these standards when making respirator recommendations, stating that certain populations should use an "N95, FFP2, or equivalent" respirator. Note: This is not intended as a regular PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) or N95/FFP2 mask. The materials used for printing should be antimicrobial and active in nature. The mask is not certified and is not considered a medical device. For optimal use, the mask and filter should be washed and disinfected after every use, allowing for reuse. You can modify the design using the provided STP files to suit your preferences.
