This Visor was designed in collaboration with local Hospital Clinicians who provided valuable input on its development. The design boasts several advantages over existing solutions, including: =uses Antibacterial filament available from 3D Print Works: https://3d-print-works.com/products/antibacterial-abs-3d-printing-filament?variant=32134137348176 =More robust construction =Re usable if sterilised using chemicals as outlined in the data sheet =Unique clinch and pin design securely holds face shield to frame =Clean design minimizes snagging on clinicians' hats and other head-worn equipment =Quick to produce in 3D printers =Uses standard A4 clear PVC stationary binder sheets for the shield, =Binder sheets are inexpensive and can be purchased at any stationery store or online through Amazon =Standard 4 or 2 hole punches can be used to make holes in the PVC sheets as shown in the drawing =Shield is easily attached to frame via push-on design with no protruding clips =Two sizes are available for printing, but the larger one will fit all with use of a rubber band at the back (holes included for attachment) Materials: Visor Frame material PLA (our standard material, or any other suitable PLA filament) https://3d-print-works.com/products/pla-1-75mm-elefilament-3d-printer-filament?variant=38427680777 or this Antibacterial material: https://3d-print-works.com/products/antibacterial-abs-3d-printing-filament?variant=32134137348176 Visor shield is A4 clear PVC stationary binders from any stationery shop or Amazon, requiring 4 holes as shown in the drawing; these can be made with a standard stationery 2 or 4 hole punch. Machine settings: We utilized Creality 10 mechanics with modified control circuit-32 bit boards running marlin 2 and V6 Volcano heads at 0.4 nozzle speed of 90mm/s, but any printer could produce it. 230 C hotend temp 0% infill 3 shells no supports run time approximately 1hr30 approximate print weight 35grams Also included are factory settings for Mk7 and files which will run at 32 minutes using a 0.8 nozzle in vase mode, as well as factory setting from simplify. NB the Mk8 files are provided to assist those with smaller printers; I have split the model into two parts for your convenience.
