First off, I didn't design this sharing because we're caring, people around the world will need access to files like this and we thought by getting another good version up on Thingiverse, we can reach more folks. A guy in Livingston, Montana has designed a new mask which has many new features. I'll just paste what he's modified. These look very comfortable compared to the current file...just my two cents. Mask update: V6. Good morning, Livingston! Please share with anyone who has a printer or is part of a file-sharing group. I've successfully printed new versions of the mask with a "bulb" around the rim to accept a 1/4-inch ID rubber tube split down the middle. The mask seals almost as well as a factory-made 3M half-facepiece. Thanks go out to Brant Savander for help with various file conversions and 3D expertise. The files will now print with a 3M bayonet adapter and a grid for a cloth filter if 3M filters are not available. These should be readily printed anywhere for less than a dollar. 3M bayonet filters are everywhere around the world where there is construction or industry, so even far-flung places should have access to a filter. This is better than an N95 cloth mask. If anyone wants to tinker with the design, it could still use a vent port and reed on both the intake and exhale ports, and a modified condensation catch. If you hold your palm against the intake and suck air, the mask should pull in against your face. Higher print quality will make them seal better but also take much longer. Silicone can be used to seal the adapter, but it needs to be removable for the cloth adapter.
