***CURRENT VERSION: 1.2.3*** =\r\n(Old Version is here: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:4281937)\r\n-----\r\nUPDATE 1.2.3: May 10, 2020\r\nI added an adjustable strap to the mask. This allows users to customize the fit of the mask by pulling the elastic back through a hole I created in the strap support area.\r\nI also redesigned the nose area to include a chamfer on the ridge for better comfort and fit for those with larger noses.\r\n\r\nGCODE is specifically designed for ENDER 3/PRO printers. It may not work on other printers, so please verify before printing.\r\n\r\n***Lafactoria design has undergone significant changes, making these designs incompatible.***\r\n\r\nUsers requested pre-sliced files for the Ender 3, which I have included here. These settings were optimized using Simplify 3D and work well with PLA/PETG filaments (may require adjusting nozzle temperature for PETG).\r\n____\r\n\r\nMASK UPDATE 1.2\r\nA new design will be shipped out this week:\r\nhttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=swaG40BBdKc\r\n___\r\nLegal:\r\nI created this mask in March 2020, right when the quarantine hit. As a former nurse, I made these masks for my nursing school friends who were still working without proper PPE.\r\nThis design is not intended to be a medical-grade mask and may not protect against the coronavirus. It was designed out of desperation to help those in need.\r\n___\r\nTHIS IS A REMIX - ORIGINAL THING:\r\n***https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:4225667***\r\n___\r\nUpdate 1.2.3 - May 10, 2020\r\nI added an adjustable strap to the mask, which allows users to customize the fit by pulling the elastic back through a hole in the strap support area.\r\nI also redesigned the nose area with a chamfer on the ridge for better comfort and fit for those with larger noses.\r\n___\r\nUpdate 1.2 - April 19, 2020\r\nThe snub-nosed version was redesigned due to issues with breathing while wearing it.\r\nI added more holes to improve airflow and redesigned the front part of the mask.\r\n___\r\nUpdate 1.1a - Version 1.1a Added 2mm of height to the "snout" of the mask to prevent snapping.\r\nA slight ridge was also added to the front for better stability.\r\nThis version is designed to be interchangeable with the original design.\r\n____\r\n\r\nUpdate 1.1 - Version 1.1\r\nThe front clip was removed, and a small clip for the front and back of the mask was added.\r\nPrint time has been reduced significantly, with large masks taking over an hour and a half to print.\r\nMediums take 2.5 hours, and smalls take 2 hours.\r\n___\r\nUpdate 7 - Version 1.1a\r\nThe snout of the mask was lengthened by 2mm to allow for easier insertion of the original mask clip.\r\nA slight ridge was also added to the front for better stability.\r\n____\r\n\r\nUpdate 6 - Version 1.1\r\nThe front clip is gone, and some cut-outs were added to the inner clip to simplify filter changes.\r\nThere are now only two parts to the design.\r\n___\r\nUpdate 5 - April 9, 2020\r\nI made a drastic change to the file by removing the micro crack-prone front clip.\r\nA small clip for the front and back of the mask was added instead.\r\nPrint time has been reduced significantly.\r\n____\r\n\r\nUpdate 4 - April 9, 2020\r\nThe walls of the cap were thickened, and it was doubled in size due to issues with thinness at the base.\r\nThe sharper area around the nose was also trimmed back slightly.\r\n___\r\nUpdate 3 - April 9, 2020\r\nBLUE SHOP TOWELS have been confirmed as an effective filtration device.\r\nA roll can produce several hundred masks.\r\n____\r\n\r\nUpdate 2 - April 9, 2020\r\nThe ridge at the back of the mask was causing issues with some printers.\r\nI included the OBJ file for users to modify in Meshmixer if needed.\r\nBLUE SHOP TOWELS have been found to be an effective filter element.\r\n____\r\n\r\nUpdate 1 - April 9, 2020\r\nThe design has undergone several iterations due to printing issues and user feedback.\r\nOver 50 masks have been printed and delivered throughout NY State.\r\nThanks to everyone for sharing their experiences and helping improve the design.
