COVID-19 Mask Cap, Totoro Edition

UPDATE: I separated the connection ring from the mask body in hopes it provides more printing options and less need for supports. And I noticed the nose was missing from the file for some reason. Includes LaFactoria3D's original mask parts that this is designed to fit. It's a good design, but if you feel their updated version provides better protection, use it instead. Replacement cap for LaFactoria3D's COVID-19 MASK -------------------------------------------------------------------- While printing mask parts for Lowell Makes, I wanted to find a way to help healthcare workers relieve some stress. Making replaceable caps seems the best way to offer an adjustment; these clip right onto existing masks without interfering with function and maybe they can lighten the mood in pediatrics. This model is the Totoro Smile facemask cap. It clips in place of the existing cap, is lightweight, doesn't interfere with airflow, but probably won't fit under a face shield. Feel free to print at whatever angle will meet your needs; for me it's to avoid layer stepping versus how much support material will be needed, but you do you. The whisker holes are intended to hold a length of black filament securely. I'm not satisfied with the result quite capturing that iconic Totoro grin, but if you cover it with "minky" fur fabric, it does look good. (Plus if you use faux fur then you only have to worry about layer stepping where the teeth are.) How to assemble these efficiently and what to look for in filtration materials can be found here, thanks to GiveWave Studios: https://youtu.be/9ItpExBEieY If you find any issues with it or think of ways to improve its design, please let me know. And feel free to modify this and share with the community.
