Covid - 19 mask breather for corona virus

I'm thrilled to unveil my revamped version of a previous design, though unfortunately, I've misplaced the link to the original creator. If someone could kindly provide the name of the originator in the comments below, I'll be more than happy to give credit where it is due. As an architect by trade, I found several ways to enhance this original model. I added larger attachment points and conceptualized a cable design that's prominently featured in the photo. Additionally, I relocated the inner screw cap to the model itself and included features that make it easier to detach from the cover plate. My son wasn't too thrilled with the new design at first, but as someone who works for a major distributor, he needs this piece. Thankfully, it works flawlessly without any leaks. However, I had to use Blender to perfectly fit it to his face. To that end, I've included the Blender model in case anyone else needs it. Given that the original seems to be based on a 3D scan, I removed the existing hooks and replaced them with larger, more robust versions that don't require any supports. What's required for printing is just the mask itself and the attached cap. For sealing both the face and filter, I recommend using neoprene strips secured with hot glue. The filters used can be either high-quality level 13 air filters or old vacuum bags that are resistant to viruses – my wife being a nurse has been instrumental in sourcing these materials, especially given the current shortage of supplies. Other nurses have expressed interest in this design as their current masks have significant air gaps. The only challenge is ensuring a proper fit, which is why I created the lattice Blender model. My hope is that others can utilize and benefit from this design to stay safe.
