I decided to create this DIY face mask and filter, and I'm thrilled with the result! To make it, you'll need a clinic mask that's cut into 2.5-inch squares, which are then inserted into the filter before attaching it to the mask - it's a game-changer. You can secure the mask on your face using elastic or rubber bands for a snug fit. I recommend using PLA material as the best printing option, as it maintains the original shape of the mask without any distortion. If you're creating a child-sized mask, simply scale down the design to 90% to ensure a comfortable fit. Printing just the mask takes approximately 5 hours and 52 minutes, while printing just the filter requires around 50 minutes. However, if you print both at the same time, it will take about 6 hours and 45 minutes - still a relatively quick process!
