COVID-19 MASK
thingiverse
Hello everyone! I've realized that often the wearable mask in which we feel comfortable is as light and small as possible. So, I did my best to improve a model for thick filters (0.5 mm - mask / cotton t-shirt). I tried to make every air entering level smaller and smaller to have construction space for not letting unfiltered air around filters. I'm attaching .step file and Fusion 360 file as well, if you need to correct something or make bigger space for your filter. I would be grateful for every like or tip. I designed it, but as an amateur, I'm not sure about porosity of 3D printing or this construction and possible gaps. I recommend using official products and respirators, but as I read, it's always better to wear something than nothing. Stay safe and use proper filters (probably the best is FFP3 - nice article about filters: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1qcUulXBupfjPoHO8ndF7U2yxTGApq1IXWNcBXVhNDRU/edit?usp=sharing). DISCLAIMER: This model has not been approved by any regulatory agency. Use it at your own risk, and only as a last resort, if you do not have any other homologated protection. The recommended measures to protect yourself from infection with the coronavirus COVID-19 are: • Stay home and avoid contact with other people • Avoid touching your face with your hands • Wash your hands very often Note: This model only includes the mask structure (3 pieces) but does not include the required filter to effectively block the spread of the virus. Also, additional isolation measures could be required to properly fit the face without air gaps. Please check the comments for more information shared by other users about the types of filters that could apply to a mask with these characteristics. The effectiveness of P3 particle filters has been mentioned, and probably also HEPA 12/13, but unfortunately we do not have the means of analysis necessary to confirm this with guarantees. Again, we remind you to use this model at your own risk.
