<p>Don't want to touch the door or button? Keep germs at bay using this simple tool for opening doors, pressing buttons and lifting lids and then cover the device to avoid germ transfer. You can also use it to carry bags.</p> <p>This will work for most doors, shopping carts and elevator button,s etc., but probably not for those really obnoxiously heavy doors that are too hard to pull with one hand anyway. You may want to experiment with PETG, ABS or even Nylon.</p> <p>I made this immediately after struggling to avoid touching buttons, door handles and even shopping carts. I was using my key to press buttons and my sleeve to open doors transferring germs to everything thing I am carrying around. I decided to make a utility to grab, pull and press with and that stores in a protective sleeve. When i get home, I can quickly spray the sheath and device and use it again. I consider this protection to be an essential everyday necessity of life during a pandemic.<br/> Simple hands-off protection in a neat package.</p> <p>I designed the logo by importing coronavirus and biohazard drawings to Inkscape and layering the svg files in Tinkercad.</p> <p>Stay safe out there!</p> <h3>Print instructions</h3><p>I designed this using Tinkercad using a Prusa at school which allowed me to change color for the corona biohazzard logo.</p> <p>Print the door pull logo side up. I used .2mm speed with 20% infill and no supports. Adjust you infill for more strength.</p> <p>Print the sheath upright on a slight angle with the open end up ((see photo) and supports from build plate only.</p>
