Covid-19 Face Shield (Remix)- Now with bottom piece
thingiverse
I found a printable face shield frame designed by 3Dverkstan during the pandemic that didn't fit my printer, so I modified it to make it shorter and stackable with .2mm spacing for printing 30 at once. At this separation, they should stick together while printing but split apart easily enough after. I've also included an original spacer file for hole-punching clear sheets. This design didn't come from me. Here's a video where I found the original printable face shield frame (video description contains all relevant links: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CHDMdyN5Jjs). The creator of this video is 3D Printing Nerd, AKA Joel Telling. If you need to remix it for Swedish or European versions, just let me know. I've only created a North American version so far. EDIT: I made a deeper visor but had to modify it to fit on my small print bed. One design has slots for elastic and the other has folding arms. I also stacked the folding arm design to allow twenty to be printed at once. Note that the jointed design requires supports inside the joints, which can be tedious to disable selectively in some programs. I apologize for this inconvenience. EDIT 2: I made a less deep version of the deep visor because it didn't cover the sides of the face well. I added a bottom piece for stability and included both versions with the same spacing, so simply punch the plastic sheet in the same pattern as the top. The 'less material' version works perfect for rigid materials, but I included the original thicker version since I've been printing it in flexible materials that require a little more thickness for added rigidity.
