UPDATE 1 The "dentist" design had a major flaw, the visor was fixed all the way to the top, which meant the headband couldn't adjust to fit different head sizes properly. UPDATE: I got some valuable feedback from my first users and made several changes to improve the design's efficiency. 1. Made the headband slightly shorter, this allows two copies to fit on my PRUSA print bed at 99% scale (see picture). From now on use version V003. Scale both copies to 99% then rotate one of them by 180° around the Z axis for a layout like the one above. I tried stacking the shields but that didn't work out. 2. Added an option for a "dentist" version where the top is closed. This design will be beneficial for dentists operating in a misty environment and at high risk of infection. However, keep in mind that ventilation may be restricted. ORIGINAL TEXT I wanted to contribute to protecting medical professionals, and face shields are currently trending in the 3D community. Prusa's version is quite good and has undergone several design improvements already. But I liked how this particular design fixed the clear visor better - no need to punch six holes by hand into every visor. So I decided to combine both designs. A landscape orientation for the clear visor seems more suitable for most uses, so I made a wider version. In addition to printing it out, you'll also need some slotted elastic band. I purchased 30 mm wide material in a 25m roll from eBay (https://www.ebay.de/itm/0-55-EUR-m-Lochgummiband-30mm-schwarz-25-Meter-Rolle/401542746178?ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT&_trksid=p2057872.m2749.l2649) The binding covers I'm using are A4 size (21 x 29.7 cm), 0.2 mm thick and come in packs of 100 (https://www.amazon.de/Fellowes-5376102-Deckbl%C3%A4tter-Mikron-transparent/dp/B000NJUWJM/ref=sr_1_1?__mk_de_DE=%C3%85M%C3%85%C5%BD%C3%95%C3%91&keywords=fellowes+binding+cover&qid=1585414272&sr=8-1). I'm pretty sure you can also fit 0.3 mm covers in there, but keep in mind that they become less transparent with more thickness. The 0.2 mm version is sturdier than expected once it's curved and doesn't even need a bottom clip like the Prusa version.
