COVID-19 Face Mask - Optional Exhalation Valve

USE AT OWN RISK! Although the mask was designed in collaboration with medical professionals, this is not a substitute for actual medical equipment. The exhalation valve is intended to enhance comfort when wearing the mask for extended periods of time. Be aware that viral agents may still escape from the mask while coughing, so the valve is only suitable for individuals who are healthy. If in doubt, please wear the mask without the exhalation valve. The facemask consists of five distinct components (see second image for reference) : 1. frame (3D-printed) 2. ring (3D-printed) 3. filter (choose from a variety of options) 4. rubber bands to secure the mask in place 5. film for exhalation valve (optional) There are two versions of the face mask: one with and one without an exhalation valve. The valve is based on a small strip of film/foil, cut into a piece measuring 19 mm x 24 mm. It is then positioned securely without requiring any adhesive. If you do not have access to film/foil or if the print quality results in an uneven surface, use the version without exhalation valve.
