I'm bombarded with ads for the "Hygiene Hand" Kickstarter. I wouldn't even glance at it again, but its constant presence is impossible to ignore. This single 50g piece of brass takes just two minutes to cut by waterjet, yet costs $25. It won't ship until June. Rather than spending $25 on a worthless trinket in two months' time, you could print this improved version in 25 minutes instead. I've enhanced their design with a chamfer and added a carrying case. This is a significant upgrade over the original. Copper and its alloys, including brass, are naturally antimicrobial. However, there's no information on whether the Kickstarter's brass meets EPA certification standards. Using copper or brass-filled filaments won't be enough; if you have access to a sintering furnace, you could use a filament like [this one](https://www.thevirtualfoundry.com/copper-filament) to create an entirely metal piece. I don't make any claims about the antimicrobial properties of sintered copper. If you don't have access to a sintering furnace, you can at least make this capacitive by printing with electrically conductive filament. This would be far more effective than using this tool in the first place. You'd be better off avoiding touching your face altogether, wearing a mask, and washing your hands when you come inside.
