This is a widely used diving face mask in Germany, designed for upgrading with additional filter layers to enhance safety. The idea is to utilize multiple layers of high-quality filter material to increase protection. The mask I'm referring to is called the Subea Easybreath, which can be upgraded using this filter design. I'd like to emphasize that I have no affiliation with Subea or any store selling these masks, so please don't contact me for purchasing information. It's essential to note that this mask upgrade should primarily be used by medical professionals who lack adequate protective gear. Personal use is not recommended, and it's crucial to prioritize the availability of these masks for frontline workers. By incorporating this filter design, you can easily upgrade the Subea Easybreath to a FFP2 or FFP3 mask, ideal for hospitals struggling to provide sufficient face protection for their staff. To assemble the filter, simply cut the material into 10cm diameter circles and place one under each filter holder. Secure them with rubber bands, taking advantage of the pre-existing groove and edge that facilitate a snug seal between each layer. The filter can be easily pressed onto the snorkel adapter, replacing it completely. A built-in rubber sealing ring ensures a tight fit, maintaining the mask's effectiveness.
