These are tough days for all and for everyone, especially for the brave healthcare workers in hospitals, nursing homes, clinics, cleaning staff, and every single person who's working hard to minimize the devastating effects of this deadly virus. Today, the materials used to protect these heroes are absolutely vital. Unfortunately, there just aren't enough supplies available for everyone. That's why makers from all around the world are stepping up, using their 3D printers to create the crucial components needed to keep these frontline workers safe. And that's my contribution. The goggles I've designed can help prevent people from getting splashed with infected fluids. The 3D-printed frame is made of sturdy materials, while the lens (1mm thick) should be printed with transparent plastic like PC or PVC. If you're using a flexible PVC material, you can cut it manually, but a laser machine would be the best solution for cutting a PC sheet. After printing, make sure to clean out any excess material from the models, deburr any rough edges, and remove any supports that might have formed inside the groove areas during printing. The assembly process requires a tight fit, so double-check that all parts are cleaned before assembling them. The eva sheet is a special foam that you'll glue onto the nose and forehead using cyanoacrylate to prevent chafing. You can find the pieces to cut in one of the pictures I've included.
