The Slim and Sleek G6 Cover Cover My G6 The Problem Many users of the G6 face challenges with the sensor's original patch, which sticks poorly to their skin or becomes loose during activities or sports. Even if not, it will detach at some point, especially when worn for more than 10 days. I have always been concerned that the sensor might get caught somewhere or detach from the original patch somehow. The Solution To minimize these issues, I've developed a slim and sleek cover for the G6 sensor. It's designed to provide protection and comfort while wearing the device. Features * A thin and flexible design that fits comfortably on the skin * A secure clip system that keeps the sensor in place * Easy to wear and remove * Durable and long-lasting Benefits * Provides additional protection for the sensor * Reduces the risk of the sensor becoming loose or detached * Improves comfort and convenience while wearing the device * Compatible with both PLA and TPU filaments The PLA Version The PLA version is designed for printing with the default and easy-to-use material. It features a hard and thin shell, with some flexibility to offer. Key Features: * Thin wings that offer some grade of flexibility * A little hook at the inside end that clips into the sensor * Edge at the front end that slides under the edge of the sensor Experience: I have found this cover to work very well. The shape fits perfectly, and the thin wall (0.8 mm) doesn't add much volume to the package. The TPU Version The TPU version is designed for printing with the flexible filament. It features a slightly thicker cover to gain some stiffness around the sensor. Key Features: * Curved inside surface and smaller void to bend firmly around the sensor * Thicker wings to be stronger * Perfectly flexible wings that follow any movement of the body/skin Experience: I have just started making my experiences with this version, but the flexibility of the material offers great wearing comfort. The wings are perfectly flexible and don't feel like they're there. Patch Template I have also created a corresponding patch template for cutting a proper patch from tape. Although almost identical, I've created a separate version for each cover. Key Features: * Outside dimensions of 100 x 74 mm (dimensioned for a 100 mm wide tape) * Minimal hole size for the PLA cover Experience: This patch template is designed to provide a comfortable and secure fit for the cover. It's easy to use and can be cut from any type of tape.
