My garage door keypad, an 877LM, can close the garage door with one simple press of the enter button, no code required. When I'm out walking the dog or taking a car not parked in the garage, I want to be able to easily shut the door on my way out without hassle. The original cover's inconvenience was frustrating - it often didn't stay closed all the way. To solve this problem, I redesigned the cover and added a passthrough button that lets me hit enter from outside while the cover is still closed. This convenient feature saves time and reduces frustration. The source SCAD file is included if you want to remove the button and print a replacement file for your own garage door keypad.
