Cover to protect a camera ball
thingiverse
The custom cover safeguards my motorcycle-mounted camera perfectly. The base frame measures precisely 3.5 centimeters in diameter, which is equivalent to 1.37795 inches. It features a sturdy object infill of 50% density. To achieve optimal results, I set the layer height at an extremely thin 0.27 millimeters and specified one shell for added protection. During printing, I maintained a consistent feedrate of 30 millimeters per second and traveled at the same speed to prevent any potential jams. My printer was preheated to a precise temperature of 220 degrees Celsius for this project. Notably, my colleague created a revised STL file that offers superior coverage for the camera ball, surpassing the original design's capabilities.
