It's an aesthetic border for the mini SD card extension/reader. If you integrate it into your subwoofer and like me, you've damaged the wood around the hole that holds the SD reader, you can easily conceal the reader's outline. The piece is 1 mm thick. It fits perfectly even after a little painting. These extensions/readers are normally standardized, so you won't have to adjust it to fit yours.
