Cover for Type I or Type II Hitch Receiver
thingiverse
I customized Stimpy's hitch cover to fit a Class I or II receiver, which has a 1-1/4" square hole compared to the original's 2" square. The prongs are now a bit too short to snap perfectly into place due to the downsizing. Despite this, it functions perfectly fine. I gave the actual printed hitch cover an extra layer of flair by adding some Jeep branding, which will give it a stylish look on my Wrangler. The photo may not show it clearly, but I'm very happy with how it turned out. The custom printing was done using glow-in-the-dark PLA because that's all I had available. I printed the hitch cover face-down, requiring supports due to the added Jeep badging sticking out a bit. Next time, I'll try printing it concave instead of relying on extra support materials, which would save me some trouble. The print resolution was set at .3mm and 30% infill took about 50 minutes or so.
