In the world of niche products, this crank puller cover stands out as a winner. It's hard to envision many people needing something like this one, but for those who do, it's a game-changer. I've got two Park crank pullers in my collection, and one of them lives in the toolbox that I keep in the car. The thing is, I take pride in keeping tool threads spotless and well-lubed, so when the puller isn't in use, I wanted to protect it from dust and debris by creating a custom cover. This way, it stays clean and ready for action whenever I need it. This project was born out of a Nut Job M22x1 25mm long nut - I took that as my starting point and then modified it to fit the puller's unique needs. Specifically, I removed the surfaces where the wrench flats would typically be located and extended the circular end of the nut. Finally, I added a cap at one end to give the cover a finished look. It turned out that the actual thread size needed was 22.5mm - anything larger, like 23mm, would have been too loose, while 22mm was just too tight. A slightly tighter fit might have been achieved with a 22.3mm thread, but it's close enough to not warrant a reprint.
