Cover for Makerbot motherboard opening
thingiverse
Initially, I designed and printed a cover for my Thing-O-Matic's Arduino/motherboard opening on its side. The cover features holes for the USB cable, SD card, and reset button. This accessory not only enhances the printer's appearance but also potentially shields the motherboard from curious fingers. For printing, I opted for a face-down orientation without a raft, ensuring a smooth finish. To affix the label, I printed it on Avery stock using a color printer, covered with clear tape for protection, and cut around the edges before carefully trimming along the part's edges with a Xacto knife. Finally, position the cover beneath the motherboard to complete installation.
