Designing protective covers for the LT1236LS8 5-volt reference board is crucial to minimize airflow and stabilize thermal fluctuations affecting the reference IC. The screws chosen are 2-56 X 0.5" narrow Fillister head slotted nylon, providing a secure fit. With a nominal PCB thickness of 1.6mm, and 1mm roVa Flex+ aerogel insulation applied solely to the top side, this setup is optimized for thermal management. The printed parts were created using a Prusa Mini with a 0.4mm nozzle and a 0.1mm layer height.
