I had to find a solution for the gaping holes in my drywall ceiling, so I lacked the enthusiasm to make the trip to the hardware store and instead came up with a makeshift version of a cover that fits snugly into place, augmented by some additional acrylic reinforcement. The diameter of the hole this cover was intended to conceal measures approximately 2.68 inches.
