Cousin Itt
thingiverse
Cousin Itt from the Addams Family here, and I'm excited to share my first attempt at creating a hairy object using my trusty 3D printer. The inspiration behind this project was Daniel Noree's fantastic Furry Vase, which can be found on Thingiverse at http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:1800503. As you can see from the pictures, I've added a stylish Bowler hat to the mix, courtesy of DigitalMeetsWorld (http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:547804). The hair is cleverly connected to a sacrificial wall that gets removed after printing, just like in the picture post_processing.jpg - which happens to be a lion, but the process remains the same. I used ABS for this print, but you can try it with other materials too. If you encounter any issues, don't hesitate to adjust your slicer's bridging settings. Here are my print settings: Printer: Renkforce RF1000 Rafts: None Supports: None Resolution: 0.2 mm Infill: 15% Notes: This design is specifically tailored for a 0.2 mm layer height. Post-printing, I'm excited to see how it turns out and share my results with you all!
