Coupler Cap
thingiverse
I frequently use numerous network couplers to join various components together in the outdoor Christmas decorating world. To safeguard against snow and rain, I apply electrical tape to protect the connectors. However, the existing coupler design leaves the tabs of the network cables exposed at the top, posing a challenge when attempting to secure them with tape. If I press too hard on the tape, there's a risk that the tabs will be pushed down, causing the connection to come apart. To address this issue, I designed a protective cap to fit over the coupler after making the initial connection. This cap enables me to tightly fasten the connectors, creating a weather-resistant link for my network cables.
