Objective: To Encourage Number Counting - Up and Down Age Range: 5 and Up Ten Green Bottles is a well-known British musical song that makes learning fun for young sight-limited children through a simple play and learn game. This printed object helps kids practice number recognition and counting by matching bottles with their corresponding bases, starting from low (1) to high (10). The game can be played individually or in a small group. As a 'starter' for Braille number recognition, this game is an excellent way to introduce children to the concept of numbers. With the assistance of an adult, kids match the bottles with their bases and then sing "Ten Green Bottles" while removing one tile at a time until all 10 bottles are gone. The song goes like this: Ten green bottles hanging on the wall, Ten green bottles hanging on the wall. And if one green bottle should accidentally fall, There'll be nine green bottles hanging on the wall. This pattern continues until there's only one bottle left, and finally, none at all.
