Counterweight mount - DSLR Rig - 15mm rod

This is a straightforward screw-mount design intended for use with a 15mm rod-based counterweight system. It's specifically designed to support up to 2kg of weight, equivalent to four 0.5kg weight disks. There are two distinct variations of the holder available. The first variation shown in the accompanying image is compatible with Flummers' DSLR rig shoulder support found on Thingiverse: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:29677. To create this mount, you will need the printed shoulder support with one bracket and two screws, along with the STL files "bent_holder_Rig_weight.stl" and "Endsrew_Rig_weight.stl". If you prefer not to use Flummers' rig, you can opt for the second variation. To create this version, you will need the STL file "straight_holder_Rig_weight.stl", along with "Endsrew_Rig_weight.stl," a 50mm M6 screw, and an M6 nut. To assemble the holder, simply place the nut in the top gap and secure it to the rod using the M6 screw. Tighten the screw firmly to ensure a solid connection. Regardless of which variation you choose, you will need to obtain counterweight disks. I purchased mine from Decathlon, a sports retailer with locations throughout Europe: https://www.decathlon.de/hantelscheiben-aus-gusseisen-28-mm-05-kg-20-kg-id_1042303.html. Each 0.5kg disk costs approximately 75 cents. Three or four disks should be sufficient to serve as a counterweight for a heavy DSLR rig. If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to ask.
