Countersunk bed Spring Spacer for Wanhao Duplicator I3
thingiverse
Simple but practical design; after installing the crucial "M3 nuts and thumb wheel mods" for bed screws on Duplicator I3 I discovered the spring was shifting around on the bottom washer, causing uneven pressure and rather imprecise leveling; this spacer keeps the spring in a perfectly vertical position with complete flushness, making bed leveling an easy and swift process, also adding a more premium look to the adjustment system. I'm aware it's elementary, but it's my first attempt. The bottom metal washer can be taken off or left intact, up to your preference. Initially, I considered purchasing aluminum ones, but they don't exist for M3 with room for the spring inside. PLEASE NOTE: When importing into Simplify3D, choose NO when asked to auto-scale to millimeter format. PLEASE NOTE: For those who will notice right away (it wasn't immediately apparent to me at first) when placing the spacer, loosen two of the thumb wheels on one side simultaneously and you won't need to remove the M3 nuts, simply lift the bed side, place the spacers below the spring, screw it in.
