Countersink grinding Attachment for D-Bitgrinder
thingiverse
This is a countersink sharpening attachment for a D-Bit grinder. It fits perfectly on the HMB U3. Turn yourself an 8mm piece of steel with a 120° cone on one end, and on the other a M5 outer thread. This is your setting pin. The setting pin runs smoothly in the V-grooves. These are helical grooves, so an axial movement feeds your countersink when turning the spindle. When clamping the countersink, bring the setting pin into contact with a groove. Turn the spindle counterclockwise until the setting pin reaches the end of the groove. Then align your countersink (left-hand cutting edge) to be parallel to the dovetail joint of the grinding fixture. (Check out the pictures for better understanding.) Dress your wheel before grinding! The countersinks are not ground by swinging the axis, but rather by plunging into the grinding wheel. Errors on the wheel will occur onto the countersink! Lower Axis 5° Upper Axis 45° Grind only by feeding the spindle micrometer, not the micrometer that feeds the bar where your tool sits on. Greeting in bad English from Germany, Thomas
