This tool secures the counter shafts within the auxiliary area of an Eaton Transmission, preventing them from dislodging or escaping during the reinstallation process. Without it, reinstalling the auxiliary section proves extremely challenging due to the tendency of the shaft and its components to fall out of their designated positions in the rear case during the delicate reassembly procedure.
