In the film, a constant input rotation is displayed, while output rotation occurs only when pins contact the double star output. It is essential to note that the input rotation can be in either direction. Interestingly, the mechanism resembles one by engineer Reza Allahyari on GrabCAD, although it was not a direct source. Additionally, the tree leaves' design also shares similarities.
