I started to wonder if elevating the bed would be a more effective solution to fix the issue. -The high-quality T8 rods are pricey -Bed elevation movement is sluggish -Two motors are required How about using a belt-driven bed with balancing weights (like in elevator mechanics)? The counterweight, equal in weight to the bed, moves up and down on the back of the frame. This way, the motor only needs to lift half the weight of the object, as the counterweight balances the system. The second thought is why use flexible corner brackets? With a simple jig, 5mm holes can be easily drilled and treads tapped. 5mm bolt joints are sturdy This setup would also provide extra build height because there are no Z motors on the bottom
