The monument, Governor Gregoire hailed as a wonderful tribute to the university, stands tall with its name Cougar Pride. Reaching 15 feet high on its pedestal and claiming the largest bronze sculpture on campus title, it towers above all others. Brought to Pullman where it was cast in bronze, this masterpiece spans an impressive 14 feet, 5 inches from nose to tail, 6 feet, 4 inches wide, and weighs approximately 4,500 pounds. The cougar itself will stand proudly at 11 feet, 4 inches high on the Martin Stadium Plaza adjacent to the main thoroughfare of campus, Stadium Way. Crafted with precision, the sculpture boasts a bronze casting delux patina granite pedestal, complete with custom inlay and etching details.
