Couch Cup Holder
thingiverse
I tried out the cup holder found here: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2364780, unfortunately it was too big to print on my printer after scaling it down to fit the size of cups I use. To keep myself occupied during the holiday break and learn Fusion 360, I created this two-piece design. The top ring features a five-degree taper that matches many standard drinking cups and glasses. You can adjust the scale to print the size that fits your cups, bottles, cans or coozies perfectly. For added strength, I recommend printing three to four perimeters with heavy infill for the ring, and two to three perimeters with heavy infill for the stand. If the stand doesn't snap into the ring, simply increase or decrease the scale until it fits snugly on my printer, the stand had to be printed at 98.5% to get a good fit. I use IPS Weld-On #16 Acrylic solvent cement to weld all my 3D printed parts. I used glow-in-the-dark PLA from Atomic for the ring shown in the pictures.
