Warning: This is a conceptual design, 3D printed plastic is not fireproof and I disclaim all liability for any injuries caused by this cotton bud launcher. I created this proof of concept using a mini hob lighter available on eBay to propel a cut-in-half cotton bud with the cotton end facing downwards. To avoid internal support structures, I printed the chamber separately before gluing it to the bottom of the gun using PVC Pipe Cement typically used by plumbers. The barrel may print with supports; I used a thin screwdriver to remove this material. After allowing the glue to dry, I inserted a half cotton bud with the cotton end facing downwards into the barrel and gave it a slight lick before proceeding. Next, I placed the lighter in the chamber hole, carefully squeezed the trigger for approximately 8 seconds to release some gas without igniting the flame, then aimed and fully depressed the trigger to activate the piezoelectric ignition.
