Costume Prop Guitar - Yamaha - Doctor Who Cosplay

thingiverse

This is a costume/prop guitar very loosely modeled after the Yamaha SGV 800, seen used by the 12th Doctor in Doctor Who. Not meant to be inspected too closely, it was modeled extremely quickly just to get the impression across for cosplay and to be easy to print. Most parts are very thin as it's meant to be seen only from the front. It's already been split into various sections to be printed on a standard bed size. The parts are currently modeled at 90% scale just to speed up printing, so scale it to 111% if you want 1:1 (this may affect the size of the PVC needed). It's designed to be supported by a PVC pipe that is ~27 inches long. It should be 1/2" PVC pipe (with an outer diameter of 0.840"). You may need to hold everything together with tape first before you weld the seams with a soldering iron and glue/weld the PVC holders over the part borders. You may be able to skip a couple of the PVC holders in the middle and just glue/weld some bits over the seams to hold things together. Additional support across the back may be needed.
